HOW IT WORKS

Curcuma longa: Turmeric helps in bronchitis since it is effective in treating infections or diseases of the respiratory, circulatory and digestive systems. It has alternative, carminative effects and also anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties.   Since bronchitis causes inflammation of the lungs, the anti-inflammatory properties of curcumin could also provide added benefits. In Ayurveda Turmeric is widely used as a cure for respiratory illnesses. In fact it is called ‘Kaphahara’ where ‘Kapha’ refers to phlegmatic conditions and any cure for it is called ‘Kaphahara’. This is because turmeric contains anti-purulent (purulent is accumulation of pus that causes inflammation) and anti-inflammatory properties that are useful in treating bronchitis. Clinical trials conducted on turmeric root find that it offers an important adjuvant role in improving blocked airways in those with bronchitis, tropical eosinophilia, bronchial asthma and bronchiectasis. The active ingredient curcumin present in turmeric possesses anti-inflammatory and bactericidal property. It lowers the effects of enzymes responsible for inflammation in the body and treats inflammation of skin associated with eczema.

Triphala: Triphala powder, being one of the widely used Ayurvedic product, is also said to be great in treating body itching and other skin allergies. Triphala benefits for skin are deeply rooted in its ability to remove toxins from our body. It’s a well know fact that the skin’s complexion and its health is a kind of reflection of the health of the internal organs and systems, especially our liver, and how effective our waste elimination is.
